  • 1.  Headhunter for Key Personnel

I am in need of hiring a key person to assist with running the company, or to bring up to this position.
I am looking for feed back of others that have used "headhunters" or placement agencies in hiring.  Being a small firm, the monetary commitment is holding me back but looking for this key person with the right qualities and personality is critical with little time available from me to search. Any guidance is appreciated.

It might be tough to find a head hunter that actually knows real architects don't design software. Over the last 15 years, I've never seen anything useful come from working with a head hunter, on either side of the job. It can sure take a lot of time you may not have or want to spend, but I've seen much more success come from asking around the profession or the local community. Architecture just doesn't seem like a good match for whatever potential usefulness a head hunter can provide.
