The Custom Residential Architects Network (CRAN®) Knowledge Community develops knowledge and information to benefit architects who are engaged in, or who are interested in learning more about, custom residential practice. CRAN® presents information and facilitates the exchange of knowledge and expertise to promote the professional development of its members via discussion forums, national symposia and conventions, publications, and local activities.

    Wall Street Journal writer, Candace Jackson, is working on a story and was hoping a member of CRAN could assist.  The story is about homes built or renovated specifically to accommodate art collections.  She is looking for high-end homes designed to display and accommodate everything from contemporary video pieces to large paintings and sculptures to fragile multi-media works - with an added bonus if the home is designed so the owner can easily rotate parts of their art collection.  If you or a colleague has worked on such a home and think the homeowner would be willing to speak to the writer as well, please email a short description of the project and a few low res images of the project to (copy me: mtinder@aia.org):
