Who we are

The mission of the Historic Resources Committee (HRC) is to identify, understand, and preserve architectural heritage, both nationally and internationally. HRC is engaged in promoting the role of the historic architect within the profession through the development of information and knowledge among members, allied professional organizations, and the public.

  • 1.  Historic Preservation Degree

    Many preservation projects involve some government funding. Many funding entities require that a qualified preservation architect with an advanced degree in historic preservation be part of the project team. Also, employment opportunities in historic preservation are most often offered in the public sector, which tends to require advanced specialized degrees. So consider i this in addition to the other benefits discussed in this thread.
