Bio

Architect, author, and artist.

I published my first book on January 20, 2012:
"Principles of Creativity: Architecture's Insight to Invention" (on Amazon).

It took me about 25 years to get that book completed, because I found I needed several decades of professional experience before I could see design theory in full clarity. There's nothing like the real world to top off education.

I spent the first half of my career working mostly in hospitality architecture, and the last half working mostly in healthcare architecture--with several other building types mixed in along the way, just to keep things interesting.

I tried to avoid specialization along the way, as I enjoy a good waterproofing detail just as much as design concept. Well, maybe not just as much. But you get the idea.
