In setting up registration, is there a hotel that is more central to the activities, tours, lectures and so forth, I notice a fair distance between them and do not want to be "out of the mainstream".

I don't believe so.  The group will take a bus most of the time to get to events.

    Roger:

Our largest room block is at the Hotel Nacional.

Additionally, the morning activities will occur in other locations, not the hotels, and transportation will be provided.  The schedule is still tentative and subject to change, but the Cuban tour company will make sure that, if there is a morning lecture in one hotel that the people staying in the other will be transported to the activity’s location.

I hope this helps you and other potential attendees.

After two trips to Cuba you learn to go with the flow. Things work well in a group setting and the tour people, I experienced, in Cuba were excellent . On the last trip I stayed at the Hotel Nacional and it was fine, no complaints. Enjoy and wish I could join you.
