Who we are

The Committee on Architecture for Education (CAE) is a Knowledge Community of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). We are a large and active group of over 10,000 architects and allied professionals concerned with the quality and design of all types of educational, cultural, and recreational facilities that promote lifelong learning in safe, welcoming and equitable environments. The CAE’s mission is to foster innovative and collaborative design of educational facilities and to heighten public awareness on the importance of learning environments.

    Please join the CAE Higher Education Committee for our knowledge sharing and coordination call. We typically meet on the second Friday of every month.

    1. Take a Poll of Subcommittee Members attending the CAE/EdSpace Conference in New Orleans 28-30 October 2015 and discuss a plan for an informal meeting of Subcommittee Members attending

     

    1. Open discussion about new topics for calls and finding the right vehicle for bringing our topics to a larger audience of the CAE and beyond.

     

       4. Seeking volunteers for our November call. Could be an evolving topic, past presentation or discussion format for expanding our "reach
