Webinars

Following a hiatus, the webinar series is active again! The 2016 Series restarted in August with “Patient Safety Fundamentals," part of the HC101 Series for emerging professionals. It had 314 registered participants, and 185 attendees. We've continued with webinars in September and October, but there will not be one in November due some delays. The final webinar of the year will be in December. All webinars are presented on the second Tuesday of the month, and will be announced to all AAH members. These are free webinars that provide 1 AIA LU/HSW continuing education credit to AIA members. View the webinar resources page for more information and PDFs of past webinars.

Research

The Case Studies Initiative has been launched with a pilot that features the UCLA Surgery and Cancer Treatment Center project. The goal of this initiative is to create a collection of case studies for use by healthcare architects to use for benchmarking and further research studies. Initially, case studies will be created by AAH Design Awards recipients. The Case Studies include project description including photos and floor plans, area breakdown data, critical distance measurements, and other information. Please review and provide feedback through this form.

AAH Journal

Look for the 18th edition of the AAH Journal to be available in print soon! Pick up your copy at the Healthcare Design Conference in Houston this November. If you can't make it, we'll provide more copies at other AAH events. We'll also have the AAH Journal online edition sent to AAH members via email before the end of the year.
