Emerging Professional Photo Exhibit
Thursday May 12th - Saturday May 10th @ the NAC Lounge

This year the National Associates Committee (NAC) will be hosting an Emerging Professionals Photo Exhibit in the NAC Booth at the Emerging Professionals Lounge. This exhibit will highlight photos taken by our fellow emerging professionals related to the theme of Nature ' Natural Space.

To have your photo included in the exhibit email your photo (8x10 ' 150 dpi) to naclounge@gmail.com by May 10th OR bring your digital or physical photo to the NAC/EP Lounge during National Convention.

Associate Roundtable
Friday May 13th @ Ernest N. Morial Convention Center (Rooms 348-349)

Join the NAC as we hold our 2nd Associate Roundtable of the year! Learn about the NAC, our plans and initiatives for the year, and share your experiences as an Associate AIA member.

Some great discussion took place at Grassroots and we would love to hear the thoughts and concerns of Associates in attendance at Convention this year.

We will be joined by Tom Fisher, Professor and Dean of the College of Design at the University of Minnesota during the first half of the Roundtable.

Pettigrew Scholarship Benefit
Friday May 13th 8:00 pm @ Race and Religious (510 Race Street, New Orleans, LA)

During the 2011 AIA National Convention in New Orleans you are all invited to join the NAC and AIA Western Mountain Region along with friends and family in a celebration of Jason Pettigrew's life and legacy.

Jason Pettigrew, Assoc. AIA
Jason was a tireless proponent of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) as a source for professional development and opportunity for his fellow Associates and emerging professionals. He accomplished a great deal while serving the Western Mountain Region and the National Associates Committee (NAC).

He served on the NAC Executive Committee as founding member and had multiple terms as the NAC Representative to the NCARB Intern development Program's Coordinating Committee. He helped develop the Emerging Professionals Companion, a publication dedicated to helping emerging professionals cope with internship, the exam, and professional registration. He was very proud to have been born and raised in New Orleans.

AIA National Associates Committee, Pettigrew Memorial ARE Scholarship

Central City Walking Tour
Saturday May 14th @ Ernest N. Morial Convention Center (Meet at NAC Lounge)

Join the NAC and Tulane City Center during the AIA National Convention for a walking tour and see 4 URBANbuild homes and a few other student-built designs.

The tour is FREE to all Associate AIA members and a $20 donation to our Jason Pettigrew Memorial ARE Scholarship is suggested for AIA members.

The tour will begin and end at Morial Convention Center, we will take the St. Charles Streetcar to 6th Street and Dryades Street.

Expenses (covered by attendees)-
approximately $3.50 street car fare
Lunch en-route
