Walt Disney Imagineering creates theme parks, hotels, office buildings, broadcast facilities, and cruise ships for the Walt Disney Company. Our program will discuss visual thinking and place making – how ideas are better expressed and experienced visually rather than verbally – and how Imagineering approaches the design process and the tools available to the design professionals to build a better environment such as placemaking, incorporating story telling into the design of buildings, how merchandising can contribute and the innovative use of technology.

Michael Lingerfelt, FAIA started his own company Lingerfelt International after over a 15 year career with Walt Disney Imagineering. He is results-oriented executive with proven ability to lead large, complex projects and multi-disciplined design teams with a total of over $3.6B of hard construction built to date.
