Strength Through Diverse-Cities Multicultural Summit

Dallas, TX
4.5 CEH

Multicultural understanding is the foundation for the building of a diverse and inclusive profession. By beginning with the development of greater awareness of strategies, opportunities, and the means by which they can be implemented, the AIA Diversity Council is producing the "Strength through Diverse-Cities Multicultural Summit." This forum has been generated for the exploration of programs promoting the action needed to achieve the profession's diversity and inclusion goals. In being challenged by award winning programs, inspirational speakers, and facilitated roundtable discussion, those attending the summit will have the chance to participate in the designing and promoting of strategic solutions necessary in building diversity and inclusiveness.

REGISTRATION

AIA Members: $20

Students: $10

Non-AIA Members: $35

Your nominal registration fee includes:

AIAPF Announces Perspectives: Women in Architecture (WIA)
Wednesday, 23 May 2012 10:17
San Gabriel Valley News Journal

"As part of its mission to champion diversity within the design professions, AIAPF is proud to present WIA: Acknowledging, Understanding, and Celebrating Women in Architecture. As one of our Chapter's unique monthly programs, the inaugural WIA event will feature a panel discussion on the evening of June 27th, 2012 at the historic Maxwell House near Old Pasadena. All interested parties, regardless of background or gender, are welcome. Roughly 100 guests are expected. The four women panelists are principal architects representing firms ranging from a successful sole proprietor to the managing partner of a large multinational corporation. An emerging professional will also offer the perspective of one starting her career. Our moderator is also a woman architect and the Director of Southern California Edison's Savings by Design sustainability program."
