As an avid reader of Mr. Hosack's articles, may I humbly suggest two minor additions to his last comments:
In the last sentence, additionally to the underlined intensity, I would suggest the addition of the word: saturation.
Also, with "city design", or the more often used "urban design", the problem is, that they seem to be too exclusive. After many other attempt, I found the application of the expression "macro scale" more inclusive and appropriate.
