RE AIAB101-2007 and paragraph 3.2.5.1 environmentally responsible design alternatives is a professional obligation of AIA members and is included as part of the AIA commitment and is not separate and above standard good practice - it simply is standard good practice. Fees should be based on the value of work performed and anything to do with presenting environmentally sound design and construction practices as alternatives should be included in the standard fee. AIA signed on to the 2030 commitment.
