Lira Luis, AIA Named top 20 under 40 Design and Construction Professionals in U.S.

The Engineering News Record, widely known as ENR, is a weekly magazine that provides news, analysis, data and opinion for the construction industry worldwide. They recognize the individual accomplishment of “young design and construction professionals, under 40 years old, who have made significant contributions to their professions and communities” in an annual competition called Top 20 Under 40.

Filipina architect Lira Luis, AIA, RIBA, NCARB, CeM, LEED AP BD+C, was awarded Top 20 Under 40 in the Midwest region for “her enthusiasm for environmental issues (that) knows no boundaries.”

Beverly Willis Foundation seeks new Executive Director

The Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation (BWAF) announces with deep regret that Wanda Bubriski steps down today as executive director. Bubriski will dedicate her time to research and writing a book, as she lays the groundwork for creating her own institute. She will remain connected to the BWAF as its Founding Director, and will assist in the transition to new leadership.
