The AIA Center for Integrated Practice developed a brief survey to gauge AIA members’ understanding and attitudes towards Integrated Project Delivery, a collaborative alternative delivery method. Results suggest that 84% of AIA members are aware of IPD in the marketplace, and 13% have engaged in IPD as a contractual model. Survey data includes positions on sustainability, risk management and BIM technology.
In November 2011, the survey was distributed electronically to two separate sets of AIA member lists containing approximately 5000 names each. The American Institute of Architects developed a brief survey to gauge members’ understanding and attitudes towards Integrated Project Delivery contract methodology. A total of 313 respondents participated in the survey. Respondents run the gamut of AIA membership by experience, age, firm size and project types.
