On Monday, October 31, 2011, - 14 students and faculty from Texas A&M’s College of Architecture participated in a collaborative presentation of architectural models and drawings for the Eye Hospital in Puyang, China.
Other participants in the collaboration were 20 students and faculty from Southeast University in Nanjing, China, and 42 students and faculty from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, as well as architectural practitioners from China and the U.S. Collaborating Teaching Firms were IPPR―Institute for Project Planning & Research, Beijing, China; HKS―Shanghai, China, & Dallas, Texas; and Miles Associates, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
This project was linked to the Fall 2011 "Architecture for Health" Visiting Lecture Series: "China: Toward Improved Health and Healthcare Facilities in the Future".
