Bio

A native of Fiesole, Italy, a hilltop town 5 miles north of Florence, Filo’s connection with US and Houston began early in his life. Accompanying his family on several trips as part of his father’s visiting professor position at the University of Houston, Filo developed an understanding of the city’s opportunities, diversity and unique climate. With a passion for Houston, Filo decided to pursue his architectural education at the University of Houston, making the city his permanent home in 1996. Since then, his professional works in the field of architecture and his community commitments have developed symbiotically to reflect Filo’s values rooted in the health and well-being of people and the environment. With over fifteen years of architectural practice, Filo’s accomplishments demonstrate his intent and commitment to making a positive impact on both the Gulf Coast region’s built environment and its culture.
