Good question Polly. I was looking for someone to help with our low-energy home designs and found David Butler of Optimal Building Systems after I read an article that he wrote in Home Energy called The Elephant in the Room. While he is not a Mechanical Engineer, he has helped many of our clients throughout the US in recommendations for mechanical systems including PV. He is more accurately described as a building systems engineer - a combination of building science and mechanical engineering. His web site is: http://www.optimalbuilding.com/ He is located in AZ, but has lived in the east and works with our residential clients in various locations. ------------------------------------------- Debra Rucker Coleman, AIA Architect Sun Plans Inc. I would love to find a forward thinking, creative mechanical engineer who is comfortable with residential projects and off the grid projects. Does anyone have a recommendation?
