Regional Conference 2012 Tucson, AZ
I just returned from an amazing trip to Tucson, AZ. It happened to be my first AIA conference outside of the state conferences. I found it amazing how many older architects were truly interested in bringing in new blood to the AIA. I have been starting to feel that in my state (AK) that it would always be the older architects in charge and I would have to deal with it.

After meeting the soon to be AIA Portland and Seattle Presidents I was feeling even better. The amount of energy at the Regional is much greater than what I am used to at the State level. Not to say I hate my State board but I find it a bit outdated and inflexible.

During the conference I had a chance to meet some wonderful, caring architects. I feel re-inspired and ready to make changes in my own life.

-glad I made the trek.
